Robert now lives in Boise, Idaho where he selects and cuts from local reclaimed wood to turn solid wood bowls, vessels, hollow forms and sculpture.

His varied work often incorporates carving, texture, burning, color, metal and other materials. He was a demonstrator at the Utah Woodturning Symposium and has demonstrated for several Woodturning clubs. He considers himself fortunate to have assisted in classes with Mike Mahoney and Dale Nish. He believes that it is very unique and special that the Woodturning World Family is so open to share techniques.

Yes the large photos and detailed descriptions are best suited to a standard computer screen, yet I often review and print from the phone.

The latest issue however shows some interesting bowls on the front cover that turn out to be not the project but a cursory mention at the end of the related article.
